Presented by the Scranton Brewers Guild
Have you ever wanted to know how to make your own brew? Well now’s your chance to learn! Included FREE with your Brewfest ticket are classes dedicated to the art of brewing. Join The Scranton brewers Guild as they teach an insider’s perspective on how the professionals brew beer. We offer a classroom setting in the retail building, so stop by, bring your pens and a notepad, and get ready for lessons you don’t want to miss!

CLASS ONE: BACK TO BASICS!
Drinking beer is fairly straight forward. Take beer, put in glass, drink, repeat. TASTING beer… now that’s a bit more complex. Whether this is your first or your thousandth beer festival it’s important to learn how to properly taste the beers you are sampling and get the most out of the beers the festival has to offer. Join The Scranton Brewers Guild, share a beer, and explore the art of beer tasting to help you get the most out of your festival experience.
CLASS TWO: KEEP YOUR WITS ABOUT YOU.
Before HAZY IPAs beers were expected to be crystal clear with the exception of the Wit. Wits have always been a cornerstone of Belgian and German brewing, but when they hit the mainstream with Blue Moon this Low Hop, hazy citrusy beer really took off. Join The Scranton Brewers Guild, share a beer, and learn about this classic style.
CLASS THREE: HOPS, HOPS, AND MORE HOPS!
Whether it’s the piney resiny hops of the west coast, the Nobel hops of Germany, or the hazy “smoothies” of the Northeast, IPAs have arguably been one of the leading beer styles since the birth of the craft beer movement. Navigating the sea of IPA options at a beer fest may seem daunting, some may even give up and swear off hops all together, DON’T! Join the Scranton Brewers Guild as we help break down the mystery of the hops, IPAs, and help you find a winning “Hoppy” beer each and every time!
Stroll the festival grounds sampling the best beers this Spring and enjoy shopping and talking with local vendors and merchants. Whether you’re in the mood for tasty treats, full meals, cool souvenirs, or even tattoos, we’ve got you covered! You’re sure to find non-stop entertainment all evening at Montage Mountain’s Brewfest. We’ll be adding new vendors right up to the event date, so make sure to check back for updates on new vendors joining the fun at this year’s Brewfest.
