Presented by the Scranton Brewers Guild
Beer School

Have you ever wanted to know how to make your own brew? Well now’s your chance to learn! Included FREE with your Brewfest ticket are classes dedicated to the art of brewing. Join The Scranton brewers Guild as they teach an insider’s perspective on how the professionals brew beer. We offer a classroom setting in the retail building, so stop by, bring your pens and a notepad, and get ready for lessons you don’t want to miss!

Class One: Intro to Craft Beer for the Light Beer Drinker!
We often as craft beer lovers get lost in all the “extra” parts and miss the bliss that light beer drinkers have. Drinking beer because its beer, not because it was made with some hop grown on the moon, or flavored with childhood cereal. Join The Scranton brewers Guild as we explore what Craft Beers the Lite Beer drinker would enjoy, and the bliss of beer flavored beer!

Class Two: Intro to Hops – Sponsored by Troegs
IPAs have arguably been one of the leading beer styles for the past several years, and navigating the sea of IPA options at a beer fest may seem daunting. Join the Scranton Brewers Guild as we help break down the mystery of the hops, IPAs, and help you find a winning “Hoppy” beer each and every time!

Class Three: Don’t be Afraid of the Dark!
In the words of one of my best friends “Dark is a color not a flavor”. Dark beers offer a variety of complex flavors and experiences from dry and roasty to sweet and boozy, from Strong and complex, to light and sessional-able. Join the Scranton Brewers Guild as we take a look at what makes the dark beer dark, and why we shouldn’t be afraid of it!

Bigger Than Just Beer
Vendors, Food, And Live Music

Browse a large assortment of vendors ranging from Gotham Burger Social Club to Electric City Tattoo. Stop by axe throwing or ring toss after grabbing some Revello’s Pizza. You’re sure to find non-stop entertainment all evening at Montage Mountain’s Brewfest. We’ll be adding new vendors right up to the event date, so make sure to check back for updates on new vendors joining the fun at this year’s Brewfest.
