Today will be yet another snow-day skier and riders. It's the Super Bowl and the skiing and riding today will be super indeed. Linus is on the way, and we are smack-dab right in the middle of the 6-12 inch forecast zone! God, it is so good out there. On the menu we have a generous serving of freshies this afternoon, so come get some!
Our first track program for our season members will send the first chair up at 8. (We’re offering this up tomorrow morning at 8am on the Northface, as we will leave those trails ungroomed!). Daily ticket holders can start riding at 8:30.
It's family fin night after 4pm, a family of four can ski and ride for $89. How can you go wrong with that?
Snow conditions: Here's the dealo-yo. This is the best snow of the year. If you miss this, you need to readjust your priorities. You can dive into any turn you want with confidence. Know you can pull off any move you want. It just doesn't get any better. Really.
Corduroy perfection is what you will find on our blues and greens.
For all our mogul mashers, Smoke, Boomer and White Lightening are covered with bumps. Smoke after the headwall, White Lightening's steeps, and Boomer's headwall on skiers left. We've groomed a mogul free way down Boomer on skier's right. These are intense, serious bumps. It's the perfect time to continue to practice and dial them in.
Parks: Whistler's Park is wicked good, and Spike is getting better by the day. The park crew gives the features constant love. So you can always find fresh, good hits.
Our Glades are open, but lines under the lifts are strictly off limits. Always ride in groups of at least two, and be cautious and exercise common sense. Watch for thin cover on some of the more popular lines in Far Charlie until the new snow arrives.
Tubing is open. There is a campfire at the bottom. We've got some steep, fast lanes for the grownups and we've got a mild set for the little kids.
Airboarding, the maximum amount of fun you can have on sled, is going on tonight after 4pm. And you can score a family rate of $39 for four people.
See you on the snow.
