In 2014, Friends of Shannon McDonough held our inaugural polar plunge event—Splashin’ with Compassion. After three successful years—having donated to eight young individuals battling cancer last year—we plan to host our fourth annual polar plunge on Saturday, January 25th 2020 from 9:00am to 2:00pm at Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA. The event is FREE to attend, but there is a $35 fee to take the plunge in support of our cause. Individuals who are interested in taking the plunge and are between the ages of 12-18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign a waiver.
