The Inaugural “97.9X Downhill Dummy” hosted by Montage Mountain Resorts. Spectators and families will LOVE this event!

Put those old skis to use & build yourself a DUMMY!

Participants (individuals or teams) build a “dummy” skier or snowboarder, which are let loose down a steep run and sent flying over a jump. The dummies are left to the mercy of gravity, balance, and their structural integrity as they plummet to the ground, hopefully avoiding destruction.

Dummy builds can be anything from people, characters, brandings, company logos — just about anything you can mount to a set of skis or snowboard.

Judging is based on construction, creativity, distance they fly off the jump and the carnage factor when they land!!

RULES:

Dummies can be made from a variety of materials and creativity is stressed to dress or decorate your dummy. The dummy must be mounted on skis or a snowboard, be under the designated weight limit, and be super rad!

Keep in Mind:
-Must be on a snowboard or skis – no sleds.
-Weight Limit: ~100lbs
-No motorization or explosives allowed.
-No firecrackers, sparklers, or flammable additions.

DAY OF EVENT TIMELINE:

10am – Registration
11am – Creativity Judging at the Base Area
12pm – Dummy’s are taken to the launch area
1pm – Downhill Dummy Begins
